Dining and restaurant apps continue to be a staple on smartphones worldwide. Using data from Sensor Tower, let's dive into the performance of the top five apps in this category during the second quarter of 2024.

McDonald’s - Non-US saw a slight decline in downloads from 12K in the first week of April to 9.9K by the end of June. Weekly active users peaked at nearly 307K in late May but ended the quarter with around 285K active users.

For TheFork - Restaurant bookings, downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at approximately 6.1K and finishing at 5.4K. Weekly active users saw a slight dip from 33K to around 32K over the three-month period.

BURGER KING - Portugal experienced a decrease in downloads, from 6.2K in the first week of April to 4.6K by the end of June. Active users showed a similar trend, descending from 66K to 57.6K.

Pizza Hut Portugal had a modest presence with downloads peaking at 1.2K in late April but ending the quarter at under 1K. Weekly active users remained low, starting at 52 and closing at 21.

Lastly, Taco App PTY showed downloads in the hundreds, with the highest at 268 in late April and ending with 169 in the last week of June. Active user numbers were not available for this app.
